Jennings offers apology to Packers, Rodgers
Says "12 is a great person"
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Greg Jennings offered an apology, of sorts, to Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers after practice Thursday.
Jennings left the Packers and signed with the Vikings as a free agent in the off-season and appeared to criticize Rodgers in a recent newspaper story in Minneapolis.
Thursday, Jennings said, "I don't really recall saying anything negative about Aaron or anyone over there, but hey, I apologize."
Jennings says he hasn't spoken with Rodgers directly.
"Aaron knows me, Coach (Mike) McCarthy knows me," Jennings said. "Every guy in that locker room, they know me, they know my character. I'm not a smack talker, so why would I try to start now? I was just having fun with it."
