The WIAA state football championships will be played at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison Thursday and Friday and the Monona Grove Silver Eagles will play Greendale for the division three championship Friday morning at 10.
MG's last appearance in the championship game was nine years ago, and this year's team is hoping to make the most of the opportunity.
Linebacker Brock Offerdahl says "We've come a long way. We've really progressed through the year.
Offensive lineman Jaden Gault adds "we try to play physical and with a lot of heart and that's what we've done this whole year and it's worked out for us.".
Head coach Mike Stassi won a state title as a player for MG and is now taking the team to the final as a coach. "I don't know how talented we are, but these kids work hard," Stassi says.
