The Madison Mallards rallied for a 14-8 win over the Lakeshore Chinook Tuesday night to force a deciding game three in the Northwoods League South Division playoffs.
After the Chinooks scored a run in the first, the Mallards answered with four in the bottom of the inning. Joe McCarthy's two-run double was the big hit.
Lakeshore scored five runs in the fourth to take the lead again, 7-4. But the Mallards came back with three in the seventh and five more in the eighth.
Kyle Ruchim had a big night for the Mallards going three for three and driving in six runs.
McCarthy had two hits and three RBI as well.
The Mallards and Chinooks will play Wednesday night at 6:35 at Kapko Park. The winner will face Duluth for the Northwoods League championship.
