Madison, WIS. -

The Badger women's softball team beat Purdue 7-3 Saturday afternoon at Goodman Diamond. Not only did Wisconsin complete the series sweep, they won their 13th straight game. That ties a school record.

There were 1,371 fans in attendance, which is the second largest home crowd in school history.

The Badgers were down 2-1 in the third when senior Stephanie Peace hit a three-run home run to give Wisconsin a 4-2 lead. It's her eight this season and 21st of her career, which is tied for third most in school history.

UW senior Michelle Mueller's RBI in the 6th inning gave her 49 on the season, which ties a UW single-season record.

The Badgers host Nebraska in a doubleheader Wednesday.
