Jazz Peavy out for Purdue game

Badgers WR has "lingering" right leg injury

MADISON - Wisconsin Badgers senior wide receiver Jazz Peavy has been ruled out of the Purdue game Saturday with a right leg injury.

Peavy has been bothered by the injury for a while and has only five receptions for 55 yards this season.

"It''s something that's kind of been lingering and did a little bit more so the best way to get him healthy by the doctors is just to rest him," head Coach Paul Chryst said Thursday.

"It's an opportunity for other guys to step up and you always want all your players and yet you want them to be at their best and obviously Jazz isn't able to do that and so you've got a lot of other positions and that groups' gotta step up and those around have to step up."
