The Jacksonville Jaguars signed fifth-year center Antoine Caldwell and waived/injured Matt Stankiewitch (wrist), the team announced Wednesday.

Caldwell was originally a third-round selection by the Houston Texans in the 2009 draft.

Caldwell (6-foot-3, 315 pounds) was with the Jaguars in mid-May on a tryout basis for the team's rookie minicamp. He was not offered a contract.

Caldwell has started 19 of 39 games in the NFL, spending four seasons with the Texans (2009-2012). He spent training camp with the Buffalo Bills in 2013, but did not make the team.

Stankiewitch was originally signed by the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent in May 2013. He was waived at the end of camp and didn't play last year. The Jaguars signed him to a reserve/future contract last Dec. 30.
