MADISON -

Brock Polnaszek looks forward to competing in the 2014 Wisconsin Ironman competition in Madison September 7th.

The fact he can even compete is remarkable because Polnaszek was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when he was five years old and has dealt with the condition ever since.

After fifteen years of medications, inactivity and suffering, Polnaszek turned to a new form of treatment.

"I started feeling better. I started taking away medications," Polnaszek said. "That's when I first started to feel like I could do something about it."

Polnaszek has since run four marathons and now looks to finish the grueling Ironman race in September
