Iowa stops Badger women's basketball

Second half rally decides it at Kohl Center

MADISON - Morgan Johnson scored 23 points, added 11 rebounds and was 11-11 at the free throw line as Iowa defeated Wisconsin in women's basketball at the Kohl Center Thursday night, 65-56.

Morgan Paige had 18 points and freshman Nicole Bauman scored 15 to lead the Badgers.

Wisconsin tied the game at 43 in the second half, but the Hawkeyes went on an 11-0 run to help decide the game.

It was the 11th straight victory for Iowa over Wisconsin in women's basketball.

The Badgers are now 8-8 overall and 0-3 in the Big Ten. Iowa improves to 13-4 overall and 2-1 in conference.

Wisconsin's next game is Sunday afternoon at Michigan.
