The Verona Wildcats beat Madison La Follette 47-30 Thursday night in a Big 8 Girls basketball game in Verona.

It was "Support Ebony" night as the teams raised money for Verona's point guard Ebony Nettles-Bay , who is battling cancer. Both teams and fans wore shirts that said "Beat Cancer" on the front and "Team 10" on the back.  Nettles-Bay wears no. 10.

Verona led 13-9 after one and the Lancers did not get any closer.

Jenni LaCroix scored 14 points for Verona. She had four three pointers.

The Wildcats are now 15-1 overall and 11-1. The team is in second place behind Middleton, who is unbeaten in conference.
