La Crosse, WIS. - The 2014 state track and field meet is one fans and athletes won't soon forget.
Mainly because Mother Nature played as big of a role as the great athletes.
Friday had a two hour lightening delay, but on Saturday, storms caused a six-hour delay.
Here are some highlights:
-Madison Memorial's Daurice Fountain defends his Division 1 110 high hurdle title and in the process sets a new state record with a time of 14.04, breaking a 33 year old record.
-Middleton's Ernest Winters wins the Division 1 boys 100 meter dash in a time of 10.83.
-Edgewood's Amy David wins the Division 1 girls 1600 meter run in 4:56.63.
- Jen Willnitz wins the Division 3 girls 100 meter dash in 12.54 defending her title from a year ago.
-Meghan Pingle of Lakeside Luthern wins the Division 2 girls 100 meter hurdles in 14.96.
-Cuba City's Danielle Webber wins the Division 3 hurdles.
