Brewers beat Phillies in ninth

Ramirez' hit gives Milwaukee 5-4 win

MILWAUKEE - Aramis Ramirez singled home the winning run with one out in the ninth inning as the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Philadelphia Phillies, 5-4 at Miller Park Friday night.

Trailing 4-2 in the seventh, Jean Segura hit a line drive into the right field corner to score Norichika Aoki, then when the Phillies infield bobbled the ball, Segura dashed for the plate and scored the tying run.

Then in the bottom of the ninth, Segura reached on an infield single, went to third on a Ryan Braun single and Segura scored the game winning run when Ramirez delivered his game-winning hit--a single to left.

Francisco Rodriguez (1-0) picked up the win in relief for the Brewers. Jeremy Horst (0-2) took the loss.

The Brewers are now 23-37 this season. The Phillies drop to 31-31.
