Ramirez' two homers, six RBI not enough

ST. LOUIS - David Freese hit a grand slam in the first inning and the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 7-6 in St. Louis Friday night.

The Brewers' Aramis Ramirez had two three-run homers in the game to supply all the offense.

But starting pitcher Wily Peralta (3-4) allowed 11 hits and seven runs over five innings.

Jaime Garcia (5-2) got the win for the Cardinals. Edward Mujica finished up for his 12th save.

The Brewers are now 1-7 on their road trip through Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and St. Louis.
