Braun out with intercostal strain

Could miss three games

ST. LOUIS - Milwaukee outfielder Ryan Braun was held out of the Brewers' starting lineup in St. Louis for a second straight game Monday with a strained intercostal muscle.

Braun, injured Saturday in a 5-3 win over the Chicago Cubs, is still considered day-to-day.

Brewers manager Ron Roenicke indicated Braun will not go on the disabled list, but he could miss at least two, and maybe three, more games.

Braun is hitting .318 with six homers and 18 RBI in 22 games.
