Braun homers again in Brewers win

Milwaukee tops Oakland, 7-2

MARYVALE, AZ - Ryan Braun homered and singled to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 7-2 exhibition baseball win over the Oakland Athletics Wednesday afternoon in Maryvale, Arizona.

Braun hit his second home run of the spring off the A's Jarrod Parker in the fourth inning to tie the game 1-1.

Jason Rogers followed with an RBI single in the fourth to give Milwaukee the lead for good at 2-1.

Braun has six hits in seven official at bats this spring for a batting average of .857.

Mitch Haniger, who pinch hit for Braun in the fifth had two hits and two RBI for the Brewers.

Yovani Gallardo started for Milwaukee and allowed a run on three hits in two-and-a-third innings. Gallardo struck out four Oakland batters.

Zach Duke (2-0) pitched an inning and a third without allowing a run to pick up the victory.

Drew Pomeranz (0-1) took the loss for Oakland.
