Boise State landed one of the top high school quarterback prospects in the 2015 class Saturday when the nephew of Super Bowl MVP quarterback Mark Rypien said he would play for the Broncos.

Brett Rypien spurned his uncle's alma mater, Washington State, to become the highest rated quarterback prospect to pick Boise State, according to the Spokesman-Review.

"For me, it came down to three things I was looking for," Rypien told the newspaper. "I wanted a good coaching staff, good facilities and an atmosphere I could see myself being successful in for four years. Boise State definitely has all of that for me. I was really blown away by their facilities."

Through his junior season at Shadle Park High School in Spokane, Wash., Rypien has thrown for more than 7,000 yards and 46 touchdowns.
