Wisconsin sweeps Nebraska-Omaha

Badgers now in fourth place in WCHA

OMAHA, Neb. - Mark Zengerle scored a goal and assisted on three others as Wisconsin defeated Nebraska-Omaha 6-1 in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association game on Saturday.

Zengerle also had a goal in Friday's 4-3 win. The Badgers (16-11-7, 12-7-7) swept the Mavericks (18-14-2, 14-10-3) to jump into the middle of the WCHA race with two games to play.

Wisconsin has 31 points, four behind leader St. Cloud State. It jumped over UNO into fourth place in the WCHA.

Michael Mersch had two goals and two assists and Tyler Barnes added one goal and two assists.

Joel Rumpel made 27 saves.

John Faulkner had 28 saves for UNO, which entered the weekend in third place.
