MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Badgers are hoping the warm, tropical weather will help solve their outside shooting woes as they begin play in the Maui Invitational Monday against Tennessee.
Wisconsin shot just 26 percent from behind the 3 point arc Thursday against Chicago State, and just 28 percent in a loss Tuesday at no. 22 Creighton.
The Badgers flew to Maui immediately after the game Thursday. The tournament should serve as an early-season barometer for how well the team is playing. The Badgers last played in the Maui tournament in 2009.
Wisconsin will play Tennessee Monday at 1:30 p.m. CST on ESPN2. The Badgers will either play no. 4 Oregon and Georgetown in the second game of the Maui Invitational.
