MADISON, Wis. - Joel Stave and Tanner McEvoy both admit they haven't been told who will be the Wisconsin Badgers starting quarterback when they take the field in the season opener against LSU Aug. 30th in Houston.
But both admit they're thinking about it.
"It's creeping into everyone's mind a little bit - who's going to play, who's going to start," Stave said.
"But again, you've got to kind of put that behind you - especially in practice - that's not what's important - it's important to take advantage of the reps you get - ones, twos, it doesn't matter - you've just got to move the ball, you've gotta complete passes, you've gotta make good decisions, it doesn't matter who you're throwing to."
McEvoy knows he can't worry about the final decision, either.
"Yeah, I mean, we're obviously the two front-runners - I mean, that's the head coaches' decision," said McEvoy. "I can only go out there and do my job and try to execute each play to the best of my ability. and that's all I can really handle."
