James White ran for over 1,000 yards as a freshman, and since then has been a staple of the Badgers offense. However, White was outshined the last two years by backfield mate Montee Ball, who scored more touchdowns than anyone in the history of the FBS.
Now, it is White's turn to lead the way.
The senior running back averaged over six yards per carry a season ago, but got just 125 carries compared to Ball's 356.
White says of his turn in the spotlight "It's an opportunity I've been waiting for ever since I came to Wisconsin and I am just going to hit the ground full speed."
The coaching staff is different, and so is the offense. White knows the expectations of the running game remain the same.
"I'm excited for the opportunity to show the world what I have."
