Chryst named Big Ten Coach of the Year

MADISON - Paul Chryst was named the Bo Schembechler Big Ten Coach of the Year in a vote of the league's coaches Tuesday.

Chryst is only the fourth Big Ten Coach to win 10 games in his first two seasons joining Michigan's Fielding Yost and Jim Harbaugh and Ohio State's Urban Meyer.

Badger linebacker T.J. Watt was a first team All-Big Ten selection by the media and the coaches.

Linebacker Vince Biegel was a second team pick of the coaches and third team by the media.

Cornerback Sojourn Shelton was a first team pick of the media and a second team selection by the coaches.

Earning third team honors are defensive backs D'Cota Dixon (media) and Leo Musso (media) and defensive lineman Conor Sheehy (coaches).
