The Badgers travel to Ottawa this week to play five games against Canadian teams. Originally, it was thought that Josh Gasser wouldn't play, as he recovers from a knee injury he suffered in October. Sunday at Johnson Pavilion, Bo Ryan said Gasser could play.
"Maybe eight to 12 minutes per game. If we can get that, that would be good."
Gasser has practice on a limited basis the last two weeks and says the mental hurdle has been tough to get over, but he's looking forward to what Canada will bring.
"Usually once I do something once or twice, I get a little more confidence in myself. Getting out there and playing a little in Canada will definitely help."
Gasser missed all of last season after tearing his ACL in the preseason. He was supposed to be the Badgers starting point guard a year ago.
