MADISON, Wis. - Wisconsin football held an open practice Sunday at Camp Randall Stadium. On a beautiful Sunday morning, a crowd of 5,000 showed up to watch the 2014 Badgers scrimmage.
Wisconsin quarterbacks Tanner McEvoy and Joel Stave split reps with the first teamers. Stave tossed a couple of scores, while McEvoy chipped in with one of his own. Neither quarterback separated himself from the other.
Running backs Melvin Gordon and Corey Clement played sparingly, as Austin Ramesh took the bulk of the carries in the running game.
The most impressive performance of the day came from kicker Rafael Gaglianone, who hammered a 55-yard field goal to the delight of all in attendance.
The Badgers next scrimmage comes August 18. That will also be open to the public with free admission.
