For the first time in 11 years, the Wisconsin Men's Cross Country team didn't win the Great Lakes regionals. The good news? They didn't have to. The Badgers took second place. Good enough to qualify for the NCAA meet for a staggering 42nd year in a row. Michigan won the event.

Wisconsin's best individual finisher was Michael Van Voorhis, who finished the 10,000 meter race in 30:29.

Redshirt freshman Malachy Schrobilgen, two weeks removed from winning the Big Ten title, ran his first career 10-kilometer race and finished ninth in 30:38, despite losing his shoe with four kilometers to go.

The NCAA XC meet is November 23rd in Terre Haute, Indiana.
