Badgers headed to Milwaukee for NCAA tournament

MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Badger men's basketball team is a number two seed in the West Regional and will face American University in its first game of the NCAA men's basketball tournament Thursday in Milwaukee.


The Badgers and Eagles will play at 11:40 am Thursday at BMO Harris Bradley Center with the game televised on TruTV.

It's the 16th consecutive NCAA tournament appearance for the Badgers.

Wisconsin's number two seeding is only the second time in school history the Badgers have been seeded that highly in the tournament.

American University received an automatic bid to the tournament by winning the Patriot League Championship with a 55-36 win over Boston University.

It will be the first ever meeting between Wisconsin and American.
