Badger volleyball advances in NCAA tournament
Hosting for first time since 2007
Ellen Chapman had 12 kills and 5 blocks as the Wisconsin Badger women's volleyball team won its first round NCAA tournament match in three sets at the UW Fieldhouse Friday night.
Wisconsin won by scores of 25-11, 25-14 and 25-15.
Deme Morales added 11 kills for the Badgers which had an attack percentage of .461 in the match.
Morales and Annemarie Hickey both has 10 kills for Wisconsin which improved its season record to 24-9. Milwaukee ends its year with an 18-11 mark.
Wisconsin will face California in a second round match Saturday night at 7 at the Fieldhouse.
The winner advances to the regional in Champaign, Illinois Dec. 13-14.
