MADISON - The Badger men's basketball team fell five spots to 22nd in this week's Associated Press national poll.
Wisconsin had been ranked 17th last week, but a 69-56 loss to Purdue Sunday at the Kohl Center sent the Badgers lower in this week's poll.
Gonzaga became the number one ranked team in the country for the first time in school history. Indiana is second, Duke third, Kansas fourth and Georgetown fifth.
Other Big Ten schools ranked include Michigan seventh, Michigan State 10th and Ohio State 14th.
Marquette went up two places and is now ranked 15th in the nation.
The Badgers have two road games remaining in their regular season. Thursday night, Wisconsin plays at Michigan State and next Sunday at Penn State.
