Big holes for Badgers as season approaches
Gasser, Brusewitz hurt in practice
Entering his 41st year of coaching, Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan says he doesn't get nervous, alarmed or excited when people use the word replace around him.
But Ryan has some big holes to fill.
All-American point guard Jordan Taylor is gone after guiding the Badgers to the Sweet 16 last season. His replacement, Josh Gasser, was lost for the season over the weekend after tearing the ACL in his left knee.
Forward Mike Bruesewitz is recovering from a freak accident in practice, when he gashed his shin against an exposed screw securing the basket. He needed 50 stitches, and is limited to the exercise bike. The Badgers will two other seniors back in Jared Berggren and Ryan Evans.
