Montee Ball is on the verge of making history.
The running back for the University of Wisconsin was named the Big Ten offensive player of the week for his performance against Indiana last Saturday.
But he's also on the verge of setting the NCAA record for career rushing touchdowns.
He's one behind Miami of Ohio's Travis Prentice, who had 78. Ball would love to get the record with a couple against Ohio State Saturday not just for himself, but for others as well.
"I'm a competitive player, I like to have my own records," said Ball. "I believe everyone does, but I also like to share with my teammates."
"Just talking about the last game-- having the rushing record.. with Melvin and James, that was -- that's something I'll never forget, " said Ball. "Obviously, I want the touchdown record because that's something I've been working hard for and really that's something all of us will share, you know, together."
Wisconsin plays Ohio State at Camp Randall Stadium Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
