MADISON, Wis. -

The Wisconsin Badgers are only 7 and a half point favorites in Saturday's road game in Corvallis against Oregon State.

It's also the Beavers first game of the year, which means they will have more time to prepare for the Badgers. The Beavers opener against Nichols state was postponed because the Louisiana based school couldn't get there because of hurricane Issac.

The Badgers said winning on the road is what makes good teams great, even if the opponent has extra time to prepare.

"One of our team goals is to win on the road," said quarterback Danny O'Brien. "We're not going to accomplish the goals we have set out if we can't win on the road, especially in tough environments. Certainly that's going to be a challenge for us this week. We kind of expect them to play with a little more confidence and knowledge of the game."

They've been working hard all offseason," said tight end Jacob Pederson. "All they want to do is get in a game. We expect them to come out real fired up and ready to go. We gotta come out there with a business trip mentality, and do what we do."

A year ago, Wisconsin beat Oregon State 35-0 at Camp Randall.
