Badger women's basketball falls short at Iowa
Rochel's double-double not enough against Hawkeyes
The Badger women's basketball team couldn't stop Iowa in the final five minutes and dropped a 71-60 decision to the Hawkeyes in Iowa City Thursday night.
Wisconsin fought back from a 27-22 deficit at halftime and had a 55-53 lead with 4:54 remaining in the game, but Iowa's Jamie Printy hit a three point shot to put the Hawkeyes in the lead for good. Printy scored 10 points in the final four minutes to key the Iowa run.
Cassie Rochel had 17 points and 14 rebounds to pace Wisconsin. Morgan Paige had 14 points and Jacki Gulczynski added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Badgers.
Wisconsin is now 1-6 in the Big Ten and 9-11 overall. Iowa is 4-2 in the conference and 15-5 overall..
