Wisconsin wins in double overtime
The Wisconsin Badger men's basketball team pulled out a 74-70 double overtime win against Iowa at the Kohl Center Wednesday night.
The Hawkeyes had a 51-42 lead with 6 minutes left in the second half, but the Badgers rallied and forced overtime when Traevon Jackson hit a three point shot with 20 seconds left to tie it at 58.
Both teams scored four points in the first overtime, then in the second OT, Sam Dekker hit a three-pointer to put Wisconsin ahead for good.
Ben Brust, Jackson and Ryan Evans went six for six from the free throw line in the final minutes to seal the win.
The Badgers had four players score in double figures - Brust 18, Jared Berggren 16, Evans 15 and Jackson 13.
Freshman Mike Gasell led Iowa with 14 points.
Wisconsin's win stopped a three-game losing streak to the Hawkeyes over the last two seasons.
Wisconsin hosts 3rd ranked Michigan Saturday morning at 11 at the Kohl Center.
