MADISON, Wis. - The Badger football team had its first full-pad practice of fall camp at Camp Randall Stadium Friday afternoon.
Head Coach Gary Andersen said he was pleased with most of the workout, but was a little disappointed with part of it.
"I thought we had a serious lull when the offense was going indoor and the defense was staying out there was about a three period stretch that was the worst we have had since I have been here," Andersen said. "We got together and we talked about it.
"I think with full pads on, [it] gives us just a little bit more of an edge and especially on a long drawn out week. but that is what we want, long drawn out weeks right now."
The Badgers will have two practices Saturday- one in the morning and one at night. They'll take Sunday off then have their first scrimmage of fall camp Monday afternoon.VIDEO: Badgers have first full-pad practice
