Verona boys hockey wins Big 8 conference

Verona, Wis. -

The Verona boys hockey team clinched its second straight outright Big 8 conference title with a 9-0 home win over rival Middleton Thursday night.

Verona's Zach Jones found Charlie Parker and scored the game's first goal with 18 seconds left in the first period.

In the second period Zac Keryluck scored the game's second goal.

The Wildcats won the first meeting between these teams back in December and the team's only regular season loss last year was to the Cardinals.
