Badgers' undefeated streak snapped at 11
Curtis McKenzie's second-period goal was the game-winner as eighth-ranked Miami (Ohio) got back on track with a 2-1 men's college hockey win over Wisconsin on Saturday.
McKenzie scored at 16:07 of the second period for the Redhawks (13-6-5), who snapped a four-game winless streak. Austin Czarnik scored on the power play for Miami in the first period.
Michael Mersch scored the only goal for Wisconsin (9-8-5) but the Badgers' 11-game unbeaten streak came to an end.
Ryan McKay had 33 saves for Miami and Joel Rumpel 30 for the Badgers.
Earlier in the day, the Badger women's hockey team defeated North Dakota 2-1 thanks to a Madison Packer breakaway goal in the third period.
