After the conclusion of the Seahawks' 38th season, the city of Seattle finally is planning a championship celebration.
The victory parade is set to start Wednesday at 11 a.m. in downtown Seattle, the Seahawks announced shortly after their 43-8 win over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday night.
Details of the celebration will be revealed Monday.
The team announced that there would be no fan access to the team upon its return from East Rutherford, N.J., to SeaTac Airport on Monday afternoon.
The Seahawks were in the playoffs for the 13th time, and they played in their second Super Bowl. Seattle lost 21-10 to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XL following the 2005 season.
