Regents sweep West cross country Invite

 Some of the best high school cross country runners in the state are from southern Wisconsin and some of the best are on display this afternoon at the Madison West Invitational at Yahara Hills.

12 teams in the boys competition and West's Wilson Hacker edges Verona's Ryan namath at the finishing line. The winning time 16 minutes 12 seconds. The West boys also win the team title.

"Well, I really like to please my coach and this is something he really wanted for our team to do well in the Madison West Invitational," said Hacker. 

It's a sweep for the Regents as the girls win the 10 team girls competition. 
Regent senior Gina Sereno wins in 15 minutes and 5 seconds. 
The Verona girls are a distance second, 50 points back
