Jets 3, Panthers 2 (OT): Defenseman Dustin Byfuglien scored at 4:19 of overtime for his first goal in 14 games as Winnipeg finished its rare three-game swing through the Sunshine State with two straight victories.Byfuglien weaved through a pair of Florida defenders and moved into the left circle before beating Jacob Markstrom with a wrist shot. Captain Andrew Ladd and Blake Wheeler scored first-period goals and Ondrej Pavelec made 38 saves for the Jets, who posted a 2-1 win at Tampa Bay on Thursday after dropping a 4-1 decision to Florida on Tuesday. Markstrom allowed a goal on the first shot he saw for the second straight game but settled down to make 25 stops for the Panthers, who lost at Washington 7-1 on Thursday. Jonathan Huberdeau scored his rookie-leading 12th goal and Shawn Matthias tied it at 2-2 at 5:50 of the third period.Ladd converted a 2-on-1 rush when he snapped a shot past Markstrom at 2:35 before Wheeler's eighth came from the top of the right faceoff dot at 17:48. Huberdeau cut the lead in half when he batted the puck out of mid-air just over the goal line with 13 seconds left in the opening period.Pavelec robbed Jack Skille on a short-handed breakaway in the second period to keep it 2-1 until Tomas Kopecky picked up a turnover near the blue line and flipped a backhanded pass to Matthias.GAME NOTEBOOK: Florida RW Kris Versteeg returned after missing 12 games with a rib injury and had two shots and a takeaway in 18:34 of ice time.
