The Philadelphia Phillies demoted reliever Shawn Camp and promoted fellow right-hander Luis Garcia on Thursday.

The 38-year-old Camp, who had been called up on April 18, gave up two earned runs on seven hits in just 3 1/3 innings. He can elect free agency or accept an assignment to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

This was Garcia's second recall as he appeared in one game last month. Garcia, 27, had not allowed a run in 11 games for Triple-A Lehigh Valley, and saved six games as the closer.
