Luis Munoz had three hits and drove in all three runs as the Madison Mallards defeated the Battle Creek Bombers 3-2 in 10 innings in Battle Creek Thursday night.
Munoz had a two-run single to start the scoring in the second inning, then with the score tied 2-2 in the 10th, Munoz delivered the game-winning hit.
Hobie McClain (2-0) got the win in relief for the Mallards. He put the first two batters on in the 10th, but after a double play, retired the final batter to preserve the Mallards win.
Madison is now 6-1 in the second half of the Northwoods League Season.
The Mallards return home to Warner Park Friday night to face the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters at 7:05 PM.
