Madison Mallards starting pitcher Daniel Gibson pitched eight strong innings in a 2-1 Mallards win at Warner Park Monday night.
The Mallards scored their only runs of the night in the bottom of the first inning as Tyler Marincov homered and Jeff Zimmerman had an RBI double.
That was all Gibson (4-3) needed. He allowed just one run on five hits, striking out seven.
John Hamilton pitched the ninth for the save.
The Mallards (19-10, 35-29) evened the series with the Chinooks (15-14, 32-32) at a game apiece.
