The Tampa Bay Lightning have acquired forward Philippe Paradis from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for defenceman Kirill Gotovets. Paradis has played in 36 games with the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League this season, recording a goal and eight points with 100 penalty minutes. Paradis has also played in five games with the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL. A native of Dolbeau, Quebec, Paradis has played in 102 career AHL games with the IceHogs and the Toronto Marlies, recording seven goals and 27 points. He recorded a career-best five goals and 16 points in 58 games last season. The 21-year-old Gotovets has recorded two goals and 13 assists with a plus-22 rating in 80 games across three seasons with Cornell University. Currently in his junior year, the Belarus native recorded a plus-1 rating in 22 games.
