Former Badger All-America defenseman Justin Schultz has signed a contract to play for the NHL's Edmonton Oilers.
Schultz was originally drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in the second round of the 2008 NHL Draft, but could never come to a contract agreement.
Schultz played three seasons at Wisconsin and became a free agent after withdrawing from school, then not coming to an agreement with Anaheim.
Schultz is from West Kelowna, British Columbia.
At Wisconsin, Schultz was a two-time Hobey Baker finalist and two-time All-American.
He scored 40 goals, 73 assists, 21 power play goals, 5 game winning goals and had 28 multi-point games in his three seasons at Wisconsin.
