MADISON, Wis. -

The high school football season starts Aug. 24, and for the fifth straight year, fans will be able to watch the Prep Mania Game of the Week on Channel3000.com and TVW.

The season opener will feature the three-time defending state champion Waunakee Warriors.

Waunakee has not lost a game since Reedsburg beat them 15-10 in October 2009. Waunakee will head to Monona Grove, where the Silver Eagles have been one of the top programs in the area. In the last three seasons, Monona Grove has gone 11-1, 11-1 and 10-1.

Also on the schedule this year is the battle for the Monterey Rock trophy as Janesville Craig battles Janesville Parker the last week of the regular season on Oct. 12.

WISC-TV Sports Director Jay Wilson and Scott Nelson will have the call this fall.
