The Vancouver Canucks acquired right wing Linden Vey from the Los Angeles Kings for the No. 50 overall pick in the NHL draft on Saturday.
Vey, 22, had five assists in 18 games with the Kings last season. He also had 14 goals and 34 assists in 43 games with the Manchester Monarchs of the AHL. Vey was a fourth-round pick of the Kings in the 2009 draft.
The Kings used the No. 50 pick on defenseman Roland McKeown. The 18-year-old had 11 goals and 32 assists in 62 games with the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League last season.
