The Milwaukee Brewers ended their 7-game losing streak defeating the Washington Nationals, 6-0 at Miller Park Friday night.
Mike Fiers (4-4) allowed just four hits in six-and-a-third shutout innings innings. Fiers walked three and struck out nine.
The Brewers offense provided plenty of support as Corey Hart and Aramis Ramirez both hit two-run homers. Hart hit his 18th of the season, Ramirez, his 12th.
Ramirez had three hits to raise his batting average to .287 this season.
Ross Detwiler (5-4) took the loss for Washington.
