John Clay said he has no shortage of motivation, and his first appearance this season looked a whole lot like last year's dominating stretch.

The Wisconsin running back and reigning Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year ran for 123 yards and two touchdowns in a 41-21 victory over UNLV.

It was his seventh straight 100-yard game dating back to last season. Still, Ohio State's Terrelle Pryor was the preseason pick as the conference's biggest offensive star.

Clay said he's got plenty of doubters because of his ever-changing weight, injury concerns and the criticism he took for his demeanor after poor performances last season.

The 11th-ranked Badgers host San Jose State this Saturday.
