Chicago, IL -- (Sports Network) - Brent Seabrook scored in the 11th round of the shootout, as the Blackhawks edged Columbus, 4-3, giving Chicago head coach Joel Quenneville his 500th career win.

Columbus had the first chance in the 11th round, but Cristobal Huet made a right pad save on Jason Chimera's shot after the deke. Seabrook then skated in and went to the backhand before lifting it past Steve Mason for the win.

"He's a go-to guy, a weapon in the shootout now," said Quenneville. "The defense(men) were calling for him. He had a lot of support at that end to be up next. There were nine times we could have won the game, so we're glad it's over."

Mason said allowing Brent Seabrook's game-winning wasn't due to fatigue.

"I wasn't tired. He made a good move," said Mason. "It ended up going off the post and in. Shootouts are nice ways to count on two points in a hockey game, but they're tough ways to lose them as well."

Jonathan Toews, Patrick Sharp and Kris Versteeg each had a goal for the Blackhawks, who were coming off a 4-1-1 road trip. Huet stopped 20 shots in the win.

Kris Russell and Antoine Vermette each had a goal and an assist while Samuel Pahlsson also scored for the Blue Jackets, who have dropped six of their last seven. Mason stopped 23 shots in the loss.

Chicago got the only goal of the first period when Versteeg skated down the left wing, stickhandled through the middle past two defenders and snapped a wrister home from the left side with 6:02 left.

The Blue Jackets tied the game at the 8:09 mark of the second as Vermette jammed home a rebound in front of the net and the team took a 2-1 lead with 5:45 left in the period on a wrister from the right circle by Pahlsson that beat Huet high.

However, Chicago tied the game on the power play with 2:23 left in the second. Patrick Kane had the puck at the right circle and sent a pass to the slot where Marian Hossa deflected it to the right side for Sharp, who slid the disc under the pad of Mason for his eighth goal of the season.

Just 40 seconds into the third, the Blue Jackets took a 3-2 lead as R.J. Umberger left a drop pass at the top of the left circle for Russell, who blew it past Huet for his second goal of the season.

However, Chicago tied the game just over four minutes later on Toews' power- play goal.
