Wild Place Havlat On IR

(Sports Network) - The Minnesota Wild placed forward Martin Havlat on injured reserve on Friday with a hamstring injury that has caused him to miss three straight games.

The club also moved defenseman Brent Burns to the IR with both transactions being retroactive to November 18.

Havlat signed a six-year, $30 million deal with the Wild in the offseason but has disappointed with just two goals and six assists over 19 games. The right winger was coming off a career-high 77-point season with Chicago in 2008-09.

In a related move, the Wild recalled defenseman Jaime Sifers from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League.
