Wild Place Havlat On IR

St. Paul, MN -- (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Wild placed forward Martin Havlat on injured reserve on Friday with a hamstring injury that has caused him to miss three straight games.The club also moved defenseman Brent Burns to the IR with both transactions being retroactive to November 18. Havlat signed a six-year, $30 million deal with the Wild in the offseason but has disappointed with just two goals and six assists over 19 games. The right winger was coming off a career-high 77-point season with Chicago in 2008-09. In a related move, the Wild recalled defenseman Jaime Sifers from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League.
