Channel 3000GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Green Bay Packers are 1-2 in their last three games, but the one was a very impressive victory over a red hot Dallas team. The question is how much that win will propel the Packers."Winning solves a lot of things," said coach Mike McCarthy. "Coming into work this morning there was a sign up that said the food tastes good again, so I think that pretty much tells it as a nutshell how important winning is for everybody."The Packers have two winnable games ahead of them at home against San Francisco on Sunday and on Thanksgiving Day against the Detroit Lions. Sunday's victory could be looked at a first, big step forward if the Packers can build a winning streak."When you win, I know winning is important to put that win in the column," McCarthy said. "But the ability to stack success and the things that come with that, the confidence level that gives your football team, the learning experiences that they can carry forward in winning big games, so there's so many positives that come out of it."As for carrying over to the field, McCarthy said his team has had better practices, but the coach admitted the mood of his team has been improved. That, however, doesn't mean the Packers are looking beyond Sunday's opponent, the San Francisco 49ers."In sports the biggest challenge you face is handling success," McCarthy said. "We won one game; I don't think we're in danger of dealing with that this week. Frankly, we have a very good football team coming in here on Sunday. It's a physical football team and I'm very impressed with their personnel."Jermicheal Finley, Aaron Kampman, John Kuhn and Mark Tauscher participated fully in practice. Charles Woodson and Clay Matthews were among the players limited in practice. Cullen Jenkins, Desmond Bishop and Brady Poppinga did not participate. The Packers have released wide receiver Jake Allen. Allen spent the entire 2008 season and the first seven weeks of the 2009 season on the Packers' practice squad, and was signed to the team's roster after Brett Swain suffered a season-ending knee injury.
