Balanced Attack Paces Bulls Over Sixers

Chicago, IL -- (Sports Network) - Luol Deng ended with 19 points and nine rebounds, while Kirk Hinrich added 19 points and seven assists to lead Chicago to a 94-88 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.Joakim Noah posted a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Bulls, who had dropped two straight coming into the game. John Salmons, Derrick Rose and Brad Miller each chipped in 14 points for the victors. "I thought they did a good job running us in the first half," said Deng. "They're very athletic, they go out and run. We did a better job in the second half, defensively of getting back and taking away their transition efforts." Andre Iguodala and Lou Williams paced the Sixers with 24 and 20 points, respectively. Thaddeus Young contributed 16 points in the team's fourth loss in five games. "It's a struggle to get all the pieces, work together and get over that hump," said Sixers forward Elton Brand. "We play well in spurts, but we just don't play (well) the entire game." Hinrich hit a three to give the Bulls a 57-56 lead late in the third quarter. They stayed in front, 63-59, heading to the fourth, and the hosts kept the momentum going in the early stages of the final stanza with a 10-2 run. The difference remained in double digits until Williams capped a 10-2 run with a three-pointer to cut the Sixers' deficit to 84-75 with 3:20 to play. Chicago managed to hit enough free throws down the stretch to come away victorious. Iguodala's buzzer-beating three in the first quarter gave Philly a 23-22 edge. It was still a one-point advantage for the visitors at halftime, 41-40. Game Notes Sixers forward Marreese Speights suffered a left knee sprain during the game...The Bulls won despite turning the ball over 21 times...Brand finished with 11 points and six rebounds for Philadelphia.
